My students have so many questions, and they often look to me for answers because we do not have access to kid-friendly material besides their out of date text books and the occasional Scholastic News. The internet is a valuable resource, but I would like them to know that reading can give them answers to the many questions they have. we will be researching Animals, places, and historical figures. They will have to write an informative piece on a African American historical figure. I want them to have tangible access to information. These books will go a long way in helping them do their research. The pictures and words will be a lot easier to navigate than the world-wide web. A lot of my students get lost trying to google information. I am hoping these books will help. The books will help them understand what a source of information is outside of the internet and a textbook.
