Incorporating sensory input with reading skills for young students is the goal of this project. I would like to access reading skills while also giving each child a form of sensory input that maintains attention of the student. I would like to target different parts of reading skills with a variety of students while keeping them on task with sensory options. Language skills will also be addressed during this project. Working closely with the Occupational therapist will be necessary to determine specific needs for each student. As a speech therapist, I have worked closely with children with sensory needs, reading intervention and language skills.
