I am requesting materials for knitting and crocheting to present a professional development opportunity on how it can be used for social emotional learners. I plan to introduce the basics of the craft and how students can use it to make creative projects. For example, I will show them how to depict emotions through yarn, glue and how to create a small blankets or cloth. My students will benefit from this as this will become a club for students and adults. The purpose is to provide an outlet for creativity along with distressing. Student May use this to reply to literature and communicate.
