It is very important for children to be exposed to people of all races, abilities, shapes, sizes, and ages! We are currently in need of materials that represent each and every person on our planet! With these books that bring attention to our differently-able friends, we can show our students that it is okay to be unique and that it is important to be friendly and kind to everyone. We will also need a storage unit to store our new materials! Because we don’t have a cabinet like this in our classroom, materials have to be stored elsewhere and are sometimes unable to be readily available. This has caused issues in the past where lessons have had to be pushed back or changed altogether. With this cabinet, we will be able to store materials without having to worry about the safety of our students. They will be locked away, but able to be at our disposal. This will allow my students more resources for out of the box learning, as well as cultivating their creativity early in their development.
