The current center activities I have for my students are fun and rigorous, but they have either grown tired of them or have grown out of them academically. These items will encourage the rigor of academics but add the element of play and fun. Research shows that students learn better when they are playing and in a mindset of fun. I want these items for my kiddos to have access to both literacy and math with engaging activities. During small group time the students collaborate to reach a common goal. Learning together with same-aged peers helps students to make emotional and academic connections to solidify vital concepts in early life. I also need these extremely durable headphones for my computer centers for both literacy and math. The school provided headphones were cheaply made and have all broken. The headphones allow for easier focus and understanding of the material.
