Sometimes sitting still in a chair doesn't work for all students, yet they need to keep their bodies calm enough to learn without distracting themselves or others. The wobble stools will help my wigglers engage their bodies so their minds can focus. The floor desks will allow students to spread throughout the room and use the floor as learning space, even when they are using laptops. The chair kick-bands will engage the legs and feet of students who wish they were walking. By giving students more options about how they position and use their bodies, I hope to improve their focus, their behavior, and even their attitudes about the work they are doing. If they can wiggle, wobble, bounce, and kick while in class, I think they will be more available to learn.
