These resources will allow me to support learning in my new 1st grade classroom. My students will benefit from these classroom basics in our new shared space everyday. We will use Math manipulatives and writing journals to reach students at all proficiency levels. Daily instruction will include calendar time and Number Talks to develop critical thinking skills and academic vocabulary. I believe in a cooperative learning model where students learn and grow together. To facilitate this model, we will rely on essential shared resources including a supply baskets, dry erase math posters, and easels to create this welcoming environment. These essential materials and manipulatives will allow students to show and share their ideas.
