My students are developing and are also at so many different ability levels that they require learning at a pace adapted for them. The use of discrete trial trainers and other computer programs help develop and reinforce the skills and with repetition the students need to enhance the skills. My students require touch screen monitors to access the appropriate programs since they are not able to use a mouse or touchpad on the computers. We have made some strides on iPad apps but the programs that will really help my students are those computer-based programs best suited to their needs including ones that include testing functions to monitor their improvement.
