Most of my students struggle to work in traditional classroom seating. Many of them struggle with attention. They need to move, wiggle, and bounce. This will help them to build stamina during independent reading and other activities that require them to stay in their space for a sustained period of time. They can still get the stimulation they need without having to get up and move about the classroom. These items will bring the kinesthetic stimulus that they need without drawing undue attention. These will encourage them to read and write more. It will also help stimulate their problem solving skills.
