My first graders will use these STEM items as their "brain tubs." They will utilize these during morning work time, in the afternoon time before dismissal, and if they are early finishers. These will keep my students engaged and will encourage them to apply their creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills to help them become critical thinkers. Having these items will encourage my students to work independently as well as with partners to solve problems. Creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration are extremely important components of 21st-century learning and I want to promote this in my classroom.
