With the Microslide viewer and Microscope, It will give my students a true scientist experience. In pairs the students will examine specimens under the micro and macroscope.
They will see leaf patterns to the cells that make them up.
They will use their observations to sketch and label the parts of leaves and examine the differences and similarities between them. They will also discover how they work. Through exploration they will generate questions and research to learn more about them. They will also use the scopes to examine Insects that use certain leaves for homes or for food. This will lead to further questions and research possibilities. Then they will learn about the parts of flowers and examine them. They will label the parts after observing them on a diagram. They will learn about the importance they have In different ecosystems. This will help students understand how interdependent the relationships between things are in nature. Without one thing, the other may not exist.
