I would be very appreciative to receive funding to attend the National Association of School Nurses’ 2020 Annual Conference over the Summer. This conference will enable me to attend education sessions that are directly applicable to my work. It will also make it possible for me to build a professional network with school health experts from around the country and the world. The information, resources, and tools I expect to acquire will provide our school district and the pre-k through 8th-grade students I serve with evidence-based approaches to keeping them healthy and in school so they can learn. I will be learning about emerging student health trends, many disease states and updated care approaches as well as learning about caring for students with trauma. As an attendee, I will have access to a bound, printed syllabus containing resources from nearly every education session in the conference schedule. It would be a tangible resource to share with my colleagues and administration.
