We want to start a "new" tradition at AWS of taking our 8th-grade students to Washington D.C. as a class trip before they head off to high school. We have 25 students that want to take part in this trip. This trip will provide our students the opportunity to learn about our country's history while exploring all the sights that Washington D.C. has to offer. Students will have the opportunity to experience history while visiting the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and Arlington Cemetery to name a few. Students study the impact of slavery and the Civil War. What a great way for their history lessons to come alive. Please help us give our students the chance to experience this.
