Scholastic magazines challenge readers with comprehensible input. Learning isn't always with a sequential textbook format. People learn from comprehensible exposure. Interesting stories are what we remember. Learning should be enjoyable and accessible. Reading their magazines accomplishes that. It would be helpful to provide another resource for students to be successful. Scholastic magazines help students build literacy skills with interesting pop culture features. They include vocabulary and comprehension checks to show understanding. Eventually, this input turns to output. As comfort level increases, showing understanding and engaging with the text, students will become better at interpretive skills, broadening cultural awareness and communicating.
