As a writing teacher, clipboards are essential for conferencing with students. I can walk around and easily record new things students are trying and jot down quick notes to make sure they are making progress towards achieving their goals as developing writers. Adding the use of clipboards throughout the day can provide an opportunity for greater student engagement. Whether students are working independently, in a small group, or even completing a whole-group task; clipboards can be a great tool. Using clipboards also allows for students to move around the room and use classroom resources. The convenience of a clipboard makes a huge difference in the classroom.
