Have you ever read a book and were unable to put it down? My hope is that through funding of this project, my students will fall in love with reading and experience the thrilling adventure a book can lead you on. "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" is rated as one of America's top 100 favorite novels of all time and will provide students the experience of opening a book and entering a whole new world. Through this book I will teach about the fantasy genre, characterization, the elements of figurative language and many other reading standards. It is my hope that students will no longer look at reading as a boring task, but will truly fall in love with the adventure that awaits by just opening the cover and turning the pages.
