These gathering drums can be used by all of my students from kindergarten to fifth grade. Currently, my students lack instruments like this that they can use to perform steady beat and rhythm. Social-emotional learning is so important and gathering drums help build these skills by allowing students to play beat and rhythm alone or with others. Making music with others is such an important skill that students learn in my class. They learn to support each other so that everyone can be successful in the music-making. We work on building so many social-emotional skills in music and these drums will be one more tool to help to build the bonds between students.
