My students come from a variety of learning styles and backgrounds. I believe that History should be as hands-on, interactive and creative as possible. My school for example, has an outdoor learning space. I love taking my students outside but have found that my struggling writers have a hard time not having a strong surface in which to write on thus the need for the clipboards. This will allow them to write, draw, color, etc. with more confidence in their assignment. In History we also use a variety of primary sources in our lessons. These sources are sometimes hard to analyze and can be very confusing. By using the dry erase markers (in a variety of colors) and the sheet overlays my students can write directly on the document thus helping them to understand the purpose and meaning behind these historical documents.
