All of the students in my senior emergency medicine class will be entering a New York State EMT program within a few weeks. Successful completion of this course will earn students a New York State Emergency Medical Certificate, and the opportunity to begin a medical career directly out of high school. This equipment will be essential in their quest. Students will be able to master the skill of blood pressure taking, and listening to lung sounds inside and outside of the classroom. As a Title I public school our resources are limited and therefore our ability to prepare them for practical skills will be impacted. The better their practices are, the more likely they are to excel.
