The books I will receive from your donations will be used to educate my students on black history. They promote kindness, empathy, and positive self-esteem. The books will be read to classrooms through virtual and in-person learning. They will be accessible to students who utilize my office as a calm down/break space. I will use these books during small, social-emotional learning groups, to spark discussions and reiterate concepts. For example, when reading "Be Kind" the students will be able to hear and visualize acts of kindness, as well as discuss being kind to others. I'm excited to have new books for my students to read for years to come!
