The classroom we are in this year is very large considering the small caseload of students I have. This has proven to be very overwhelming for my students, and they would benefit from having more clearly defined physical boundaries to break the room into smaller sections. By using these room dividers, I will be able to divide my classroom into smaller, less overwhelming sections and use these new spaces to establish strong routines and expectations. It will also help to keep one of my students from eloping by providing an extra barrier out of the classroom to stop her from leaving.
