The goal of this project is to provide our students with speech and language academic instruction in an engaging and inviting classroom setting. My students would greatly benefit from having a classroom that has available materials, supplies, and classroom decor that will facilitate their learning and allow them to practice their speech, language, and communication skills comfortably. The skills and strategies they learn in this classroom prepare them to become successful students and effective communicators. These students are learning how to improve their speaking, reading, listening, writing, and social-emotional skills in English, Spanish, both, and even via alternative and augmentative communication methods (AAC/PECS). I believe these amazing and diverse students deserve to comfortably learn, explore, experience, and grow alongside their peers in an engaging, inviting, and academically enriching classroom.
