All of these items will benefit these students, this classroom and their families tremendously. Parents will feel a sense of relief knowing that their children have the supplies they need to succeed and students will feel a sense of stability. After the tornadoes that hit our local neighborhoods, families who have lost everything are having trouble affording to replace their homes, clothing, and food, let alone supplies for their child's school. These supplies will be such a huge contribution towards a classroom that channels their creativity while focusing on their strengths and persevering through their weaknesses. Sharing a basket of markers, crayons and pencils in a class of 21 is not ideal and it invites much chaos and frustration during whole class lessons. These supplies will be distributed to each child and will be kept at school in their very own supply box in their individual desks. If these supplies are donated, the students will be able to work at a faster and more efficient pace vs having to wait for a certain supply to be available. More lessons will be taught in the time it takes their teacher to distribute and collect supplies.
