Students will learn many important "elements of art " when using the art donated materials. The art lesson will teach students about: size, overlapping, folding, symmetry, shapes, color, and craftsmanship when drawing, cutting and gluing the colored paper shapes. Students will have a set of directions and will have to problem solve how to visually compose a well balanced symmetrical paper artwork. There is usually a 99% success rate with this project and students really are proud of the beautiful symmetrical artworks they create. When the student artworks are displayed, the entire learning community really enjoys the beauty of the students works.
