Second-grade students will be able to focus on learning if they are able to sit in comfortable seating arrangements around the classroom. In my second year as a second-grade teacher, I have seen the benefits of flexible seating in my colleagues' classrooms, and I wish to provide the same benefits to my own students - all I need is your help getting the materials from my Amazon shopping cart into my classroom. Students are thrilled when they get to sit on one of the two bean bags chairs in my classroom during the independent reading time... imagine the excitement they would feel to be able to choose a cool and comfy seating arrangement that they would get to use all day, every day each week! Many students will find it easier to focus on learning if they are able to make a choice about where and how they sit in the classroom. Some of them will figure out that a specific seating arrangement such as the green rocker or the blue lap desk is where they do their best work, and that is the spot they will choose week after week. With flexible seating in place, students will be able to focus their energy on learning rather than using so much energy trying to sit still in their desk chairs. Please help my students focus on learning by donating to support flexible seating in my classroom!
