In 1st grade, students learn through hands-on activities! When they are using their hands the learning is much more engaging! In our classrooms, we have limited materials that are engaging for students and most times we have to make our own materials with paper and those do not last long. Hands-on manipulatives can be expensive for the classroom. These materials will be used daily in stations to help students engage in learning. Many students need basic math and literacy practice daily in stations and these manipulatives will help a lot in the classroom. I hope to help build their love for learning with fun activities.
