Reading and writing materials are essential in teaching reading. The chart paper, white board erasers, and journals that are requested will be used to teach phonics and writing lessons. Chart paper will also be used for anchor charts. Scissors are needed for projects done in class. Books at students' reading level will allow reading growth, in lexile and comprehension. Books that were chosen will allow students to see our world. My students had a teacher that left them, it is essential that I build self esteem in these students and acknowledge who they are, so I am requesting the birthday package.
