My students are curious and hungry for learning. Unfortunately, they lack resources to access rigorous curriculum and bridge the gap so they can be prepared for high school and college. With your help my students will have access to resources that every child deserves to have (current books that they can relate to and are of interest to them, a warm and inviting classroom esthetic, etc.) My students most common wish is to have books in the classroom that are not ripped and have characters that look like them. As we try to bridge the gap in education, there is an inevitable struggle to do so with a lack of funding to provide resources that other schools may have; resources that provide students with current events, structured curriculum to bridge gaps in all areas, and to feed into their inherent curiosity.
