We teach about the the relationships among living things such as animals and plants and how they work together. A classroom aquaponics system would be a year-long reminder for students of how living things are interconnected and depend on each other. It will also teach them responsibility for their environment. School supplies help students stay organized and organize their thoughts to become better academic communicators. Learning to organize through academic learning helps prepare these students to be college and career ready. Large post-it notes will allow students to brainstorm and summarize as a group the big ideas they are learning about life science.
