My students require an enormous amount of modeling and promoting. The iPads are a great way to have students grouped by their ability levels for them to be able to follow along with the exercises, words to the music with their one to one teacher assistants, as I lead each group into the lesson for the week, utilizing a speaker and Bluetooth/wireless microphone. The minute I start the music, students smile and just begin to dance. However, with their various individualized needs creating groups as their focal points will allow them to follow and listen throughout the lesson. The ultimate goal... to bring them together to work as a team, to developing competitive sports building on their attention, individual responsibilities, experiences, and their personal satisfaction and gratification to succeed. Every parent's dream for their child with special needs.
