I am extremely hopeful that you will help our students learn and grow through STEM-related and Makerspace activities incorporated into my library. Right now, we have a selection of books, but we have no STEM or Makerspace activities. Adding Makerspace options will allow for students to be responsible for their own self-directed learning. Makerspace allows students to create, explore new ideas, learn how to focus, and learn how to express themselves and collaborate. Having the STEM and Makerspace options in the library will show students that the library is a fun, safe, and exciting place to be. Makerspace items and STEM activities will be used and shared amongst all classrooms in the building, and we want to emphasize just how many kids that will help: we are close to 300 students for enrollment. I hope you’ll be able to help.
