I remember how warm and proud I felt about my 7th-grade reading class when I walked in the first day of school. It "felt like a classroom." All the essentials were there. The motivational posters on the way, the endless supply of paper, pencils, and paper clips that made their way down my backpack. I knew I was in a classroom for sure! I desire to create that same sense of "classroom feel" that I so cherished when I was in 7th grade for my students. These basic supplies like the EZ grade helper, minute timer, and the two-hole punch are supplies I recall my reading teacher using on a daily. My students often tell remind of how "plain" walls look, indicating they are aware of what classroom walls should look like.
