By providing flex-movement opportunities, my students can continue learning in a comfortable setting that allows them to get the wiggles out and stay focused on their classwork at the same time. Students will be able to gently bounce on a stationary ball while completing math facts on the computer or taking a reading test from a book they may have read with a classmate while sitting on a cushioned pillow in the reading/listening center. Memory and concentration is enhanced through movement during instructional learning activities. The wiggle seats at the students' desks will allow high energy level student movement actions while keeping focus on instructions and learning. All these flex-seating options are suitable to meet the social emotional needs of all my learners to include my special need ones as well.
