Spanish immersion is constantly evolving as teachers gain more knowledge about how to achieve the best results for students. With the materials I have selected that range from books and flexible seating to activities for centers, my second graders will have a positive environment in which to develop their skills as budding bilingual speakers. The social climate of the classroom will be a space in which students are comfortable and allowed to be curious. The flexible seating allows the students to navigate the classroom with ease, while the materials for the centers will give versatile experiences that I will be proud to present to them. I specifically chosen the books based on research I've collected over the years of being a Spanish speaker and early education teacher. The classroom will become a world where culture and creativity are the goals for each student. Using video effectively with a larger monitor and having a classroom copier/printer to amplify the learning. In addition, having easy access to drill bit so I can quickly raise or tighten desk screws in a flash.
