Test Prep Chicago is a well established prep course. It has proven results in increasing students test scores on the NWEA, high school and college entrance exams. This course is already offered at select CPS level 1+(highest rated) schools and at private and parochial schools, where parents are able to pay for their child's fees. The course will prepare students by focusing on literacy and mathematics and teaching them the skills they need to advance in their studies. 7th grade NWEA Spring scores count towards 33% of selective enrollment admission, 300 out of a total of 900 points. By providing this prep course at Drake, we are giving our students that live in Tier 1 communities, known by CPS as the lowest socio-economic area the opportunities available to Tier 4 communities, the highest socio-economic area.
