This year in our Research Lab (Library), students will engage in self-selected learning paths. Learners at all grade levels will explore logo and badge design, illustration and writing, and construction and architecture careers. In each learning path, students will pose questions, conduct research, analyze information, practice newly acquired skills, and create a final project. We plan to share these projects with families via Seesaw, Ceran, and Northridge social media pages, as well as in person at our end of year STEM Expo. Our goal is for students to transfer the skills learned in the Research Lab and utilize them in the classroom. Teachers will provide students with ongoing opportunities to show their learning in creative ways and explore ways to better utilize the sets of 10 iPads in each classroom.
