Our goal in class is to have fun learning, while being engaging at the same time. Students LOVE variety when they work. This not only keeps the students engaged, but also allows us from being bored while working on the necessary skills to be successful. The last "normal" school year for the students, was in 3rd grade. Since then they have had multiple interruptions with quarantines and virtual learning. Continuing to build the foundation for reading, reading understanding, and language is essential in the success of our students and their future. I use a variety of reading strategies in our classroom, but adding the the additional items to my reading and writing program is going to be extremely beneficial to the success of our students.
