I like to think of my students learning logical thinking and problem-solving skills through math versus just learning math. We talk about problems in different ways and explore problems through class discussions and hands-on activities, yet there comes a time when students need to work on their own and learn at their own pace. Technology, and the ability to hear the videos, insights, and thoughts of others, allows my students to individualize their learning and begin to understand math in a different way. This allows students to grow in their understanding because they all come to me with different math backgrounds and anxieties and allows them to do so without fear of judgment from others. By allowing my students the opportunity to enhance their learning with individualized lessons because of technology I am able to reach them in ways that I would not be able to by myself.
