Students in my English Language Arts classes will receive points for excellent, on-task behaviors and for reading outside of class. The week before Spring Break, we will reward those positive learning behaviors by having a class auction for snacks. My students are highly motivated by positive rewards and praise. Students will be able to "purchase" snacks with their points. They will eat them in class and watch a movie. This is an engaging experience meant to promote community and reward excellent behaviors. My students will be more focused on staying on task in class and on reading outside of the classroom.
