Walking into a children's library is a fantastic way to see books on display, literacy manipulatives, props for dramatic reenactments, and few cozy pillows to curl up with alongside a beloved story. The library center in our classroom is equipped with a small bookshelf that does not hold enough books for each child. We want to have a larger bookshelf to take our books out of baskets and more accessible to our young emerging readers. Having a large bookshelf available will give us the opportunity to include books around our topics of study, social-emotional development, and a sprinkling of our favorite classic stories. Our favorite book currently is Abiyoyo... zoop, zoop!
