I have been wanting to participate in this professional development training for many years but the cost has prohibited me from doing so. Although I have learned many reading techniques and strategies during my years of teaching, I feel there is still something missing for my students that struggle to read at all costs. I hope with this training I am able to move all my students to be proficient in reading and overcome their obstacles in phonemic awareness, decoding, and fluency. Students who can read well have far more opportunities in life. Teaching a student to read well will have a ripple effect for years to come.

About my class
