Play is important in student learning since it encourages role playing, language development and problem solving. Imaginative play in kindergarten enables students to engage with their peers, develop empathy, and creativity. Children learn best through play because it allows them to ask questions and discover new things. Play is our brain's favorite way of learning. Items received from the All Aboard for Play will be used during centers and free choice time. Students will use their imagination and work together to build with train tracks, create a variety of magnetic cars and trucks to incorporate into their train station. The additional blocks will be used during our science exploration. Students will create 3D buildings on their own or follow a building pattern. This will allow students to use problem solving skills and work together as a team to create structures.
