I have noticed that their biggest struggle is to stay focused during the entire day. 4 days of the week our afternoon is 3 hours and on Monday they have no related arts and are only out of the classroom for the 50 minutes of recess/lunch. Our classroom has traditional desks and chairs, 1 small table, 1 horseshoe table and 3 5x7 rugs that I purchased from Walmart. I will be continuing to purchase flexible seating option but I cant afford it on my own. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them physically. The wobble seats will engage their core and improve strength/ overall health while helping to maintain their focus especially for students with ADHD.
