With a large screen tv, my students will gain valuable insight, understanding and appreciation for real world scientific collaboration if we had the opportunity to connect digitally to resources outside of our classroom. We do not have access to a smart board, therefore, it is extremely difficult to connect with outside professionals that could truly have a positive impact on my students' learning. I actively communicate with university professors, and pharmaceutical companies, as well as other science teachers who are more than willing to share their time and expertise with us. But without a means to collaborate with my entire class, these professionals have hesitated volunteering their time.
