Second graders are full of curiosity and energy. The students like to have the flexibility to work by themselves or work with others. They like to have a place to call 'home' at school and to be able to move around to work with peers. "8 year olds love to work cooperatively and they're most productive in group activities," from Responsive Classroom. The children are changing friends and interests often and like the flexibility to move around and work with peers who have the same interests. These different seating options will allow the students to find work spaces that work best for them. They can move around as needed.
