Current research shows that children learn best with opportunities for movement and movement breaks. In public schools, teachers work with children of various needs. Many of these kids benefit from flexible seating. Flexible seating allows children to exert their extra energy which helps them to focus. Flexible seating will benefit many different students in my school across different settings. The second-grade team works collaboratively. We differentiate learning and our students move across different classrooms for reading, writing, and math. By having a table with a flexible seating option I will be able to help many different students throughout the day. The stools are also sturdy and will be used for years to come.
