Have you ever wanted to move while you were working at a desk? Students with attention and focus issues often like to move or wobble while they are seated. This may seem like a distraction but in reality, it is their way of letting off energy while maintaining focus on the learning in the classroom. My students not only want to move but often have to in order to stay focused on the task at hand. Providing them with a balance ball chair will help them to stay on task for longer periods of time. Currently, I have one of these chairs in my room. We rotate who gets the chair each day. It would be a huge benefit if my students each had their own chair.
