Our meeting place is where the rug is needed to brings us together. We have deep rich conversations as a group about books we read, math, social studies and science. They are able to spread out and work together as partners and a group. Sometimes they like to just stretch out and read! Our meeting group is the center of our learning for deep rich conversations and inquiry. That is where the rug is needed. Children should feel safe, warm and secure while learning. The rug would give our room an at home feeling. When you improve the environment in which children learn, they will soar in their learning.
