Storybooks will offer children examples of characters with similar emotions or problems that they have and provide ways to deal with them. There are also numerous opportunities for practicing language arts skills of identifying and retelling key details or events, through a social emotional lens. I will be able to teach how to manage emotions and positive social interactions, while giving opportunities to discus and develop tools to use when they face similar problems. I'm very excited to share my love of books and provide a vehicle to teach students the skills they need to be emotionally balanced and well adjusted.

About my class
