This project is all about giving meaning to computer science through real and fun resources. The tools I am requesting will allow my students to experience first hand concepts in computer science in a fun and engaging way. Computer Science can be challenging for middle school students, but fun resources can really help make the content relevant and meaningful to them. The first is Raspberry Pi, which is a small computer that students can build from scratch. This would be used in my digital citizenship class to show students how computers are built and function. The second is a small amount of Spheros for my students to use with Swift Playgrounds on their iPads. They can connect via Bluetooth and make the Spheros move by coding in a JavaScript style code in the software.
